Useful Kernel Settings (sysctl) Configuration

rp_filter

Disable routing triangulation. Respond to queries out the same interface, not another. Also protects against IP spoofing.

Enable logging of packets with malformed IP addresses.

Disable responding to ping broadcasts.

Show Packet Counts and Aggregate Size
