Gufw 是一个由 UFW （Uncomplicated Firewall，简单防火墙）驱动的防火墙。
UFW （简单防火墙） 是 iptables 的前端，是特别适合基于主机的防火墙。UFW 专门为 Ubuntu 开发 （但在其他发行版中可用），而且还从终端配置。
Gufw 是 UFW 的图形化的前端，建议为初学者使用。
UFW 在 Ubuntu 8.04 LTS（Hardy Heron）中引入，并备有默认情况下，在 Ubuntu 8.04 LTS 之后所有的版本中默认安装。
